Rekorderlig Elderflower Cider

Size: 500ml cans
Alc Content: 7%

I first tried this cider on my travels in Lancaster, England. The pub was called the Merchant. I really enjoyed the cider and was glad to have experienced this unique taste. Within 8 months of that trip, the LCBO (Ontario, Canada) started carrying this flavoured cider.

Rekorderlig Elderflower cider is one of the products available from Rekorderlig. The ciders were first created in 1999 from naturally spring water from Vimmerby Sweden and is brewed by Abro Bryggeri.

The cider is made from pear and apple cider along with other ingredients of course. Though apples is listed in the ingredients it is considered a flavoured pear cider.

On opening the can, a nice sweet smell greets the senses. With the pour, you get a very carbonated drink. The top is fully white but it goes down as the little carbon bubbles burst. The taste is very sweet. If you have a sweet tooth or enjoy sweet drinks then this cider is for you. I enjoy it when I am not in the mood for apple based ciders.

My rating for this cider is an 8.4 out of 10.

For further information you can visit their website at www.rekorderlig.com Their website caters more for the European countries. You will notice that the alcohol content is lower and it is in bottles and not cans. They can also be found on twitter @rekorderlig

Cheers,

Laurie
